Shinkansen Seat Types
Unreserved seat

Features
You can sit on any open seat in the non-reserved section without booking in advance.
The ticket will only specify the travel section and date.
The facilities for non-reserved and reserved seats are the same.
Advantages
You can board any train on the day of travel, making it easy to accommodate sudden schedule changes.
If there are any other vacant seats, you can change seats during the journey.
Disadvantages
Seats are taken on a first-come, first-served basis, so during busy times, you might not be able to secure a seat.
If there are no seats available, you may need to stand in the deck area or wait for the next available train with open seats.
